About the Role:
MEDEX STAFFING NETWORK LLC is seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join a dedicated surgical team in the scenic community of Lander, WY. This a 13-week assignment 8 hour shifts. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain sterile field in the operating room prior to and during surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons and surgical team members during a variety of operative procedures
- Handle, pass, and account for surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Perform surgical counts (sponge, sharps, and instrument) in accordance with facility protocols
- Set up and break down the OR suite, ensuring proper sterilization and equipment readiness
- Monitor and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures
- Collaborate with circulating nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to ensure patient safety
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential preferred or required
- Prior experience in an operating room or surgical setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and sterile technique
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced OR environment
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and attention to detail
- Current BLS/CPR certification required

Compensation: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
